Our 1st Irish ruin along the motorway from Shannon airport to Galway
A metal sculpture in the Galway town center depicting the sails of the Irish Hooker, a traditional fishing boat designed to handle the strong seas of the North Atlantic
Part of the house built in the year 1627 for Martin Browne, merchant, was removed from ruins in Lower Abbeygate Street and was erected here (in the town square) in 1905, to witness to the architectural character of the great houses that were built in the days of Galway's civic opulence.

Mayor James Lynch FitzStephen, hanged his son from the window of his home in 1493. Lynch's son had murdered a Spainish man in the care of the family. This is supposedly the origin of the term Lynching
Lynch's Window stands in Market Street at the side of the  Collegiate Church of St Nicholas
