Located approximately three miles southwest of Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park on Kanab Field Office lands, the Moccasin Mountain Dinosaur Tracksite is one of the most spectacular Navajo Formation track assemblages known from the Colorado Plateau.
The site appears to have formed at the margin of an oasis in a sea of windblown sand at a time when the Colorado Plateau was one of the world?s largest ever sandy deserts.
