A metal sculpture in the Galway town center depicting the sails of the Irish Hooker, a traditional fishing boat designed to handle the strong seas of the North Atlantic

Part of the house built in the year 1627 for Martin Browne, merchant, was removed from ruins in Lower Abbeygate Street and was erected here (in the town square) in 1905, to witness to the architectural character of the great houses that were built in the days of Galway's civic opulence.
